A Note from Pastor JimWhy do we do the things we do? It seems that this questions is on the lips or at least on the minds of some here at "The Falls". Why as a church, do we do the things we do? We are supposed to take a break during the summer, and slow down and enjoy our selves more. Well, I’m with you. All of those things sound really great. So why do we start programs like Crocodile Dock? Why do we ask you to get into a small group? The answer is short but not simple. It’s more then “Because the Pastor said so,” I like that answer, but it really doesn’t have much impact. The answer is this. People need Jesus and we are the ones called to take them too Him. We live in uncertain times, economy problems, and difficulty finding employment, high divorce rates, wars and rumors of wars. We have the answer to the worlds ills, not to mention it’s fears. Why are we so resistant to sharing the good news? We have become so much like the world around us. For many, it’s all about them, not about those people who are dying and going to Hell without Jesus. This eternal problem will remain at the heart of our ministry. We want to see people come to Jesus. We will do that through teaching believers how to share their faith and through giving unbelievers and un-churched a chance to enter a deeper relationship with us and with God.
John 14: 23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
