Pastors Note A Note from Pastor Jim

"What is a friend?"

This past Sunday was a very special day for Kathie and I. Our installation service was wonderful. Having my mom here was special. Having our District Secretary come from Seattle area to conduct the service was special. having friends from Helena come over to share this day with us was special, and having our new church family gather around us was special. Wow, that's a lot of special for one day. I can't say thank-you enough to all who helped get the church ready for guests. Many saw the church for the first time this past weekend and were favorably impressed. More than any building decor, more than any special guest speakers, what made this day was friends. All of you here at "Falls" should be proud (in a good way) of your friendly attitudes. You treat others with special care and show Christ to each who enters this place of Worship.

So, What is a Friend? In a word, You are! In the weeks and months to come there will be many who will come through our doors looking for fatih, fellowship, and friendship. It will be up to each one to give of ourselves to assure that every person feels welcome and wanted here. I will take this one step further. If you find this to be a friendly, welcoming place, invite others so that they may find the same extraordinary friends that each of us has. "A friend loveth at all times," Proverbs 17:17. I truly believe that God is calling us to "expand our tent." This means that each one must begin to influence those they work with, live near, or simply meet casually, to come be a part of what God is doing here in this fellowship. There are people all around us who neeed Jesus, will you be a friend and bring them to Him?
